Fabulous art deco bone china Jug and Bowl Set made circa 1930 at the Royal Doulton factory in Lambeth, London. This elegant set has an oval sugar bowl and jug with an angular handle, typical of the era. The cutting edge design on a cream ground is gilded for that extra touch of luxury.

Base mark for the Royal Doulton factory – Pattern LIDO # v 1694.

Description

Royal Doulton (since 1815) created some of the highest quality tableware in the world. Originally in London, the company moved to Stoke on Trent in the latter half of the 19th Century to make Fine china where it gained a Royal Warrant in 1902.
