This set is an early example of the popular Blue Dragon pattern first produced by Grainger, Lee & Co in the 1820’s. The design was printed onto the china from a hand engraved copper plate and was inspired by a Chinese design of a dragon chasing a flaming pearl amongst the clouds.
Bone china tea set ( as seen in the Royal Worcester Museum Collection) made in the Brosley shape, slightly scalloped, with hand script to base of each piece – Grainger Lee & Co Worcester ( 1814-1839 ).
Teacup 9.5 cm diameter x 5.5 cm tall
Saucer 15 cm diameter
No damage, only light manufacturing defects kiln dust etc. expected in china 200 years old.
