Coalport Adelaide Trio/Cake Plate

£45.00

Beautiful Rococo revival tea set made by the John Rose Coalport factory in 1831.

This rare set has been heavily moulded in the ‘Adelaide’ shape and lavishly gilded with swags and scrolls on a white ground with a central gold medallion.

Pattern # 2 / 881 in gold on cup base.

The True trio was made during this era with just one saucer sold with two cups. You would never drink tea at the same time as coffee so why buy another saucer.

Tea Cup – 6 cm x 11 cm diameter

Coffee Cup – 7 cm x 8.5 cm diameter

1 round cake plate – 20 cm diameter

Lovely condition, no damage to the ceramic, gilding excellent – 200 years old. Looks unused
