Early ‘ Cockatrice ‘ Platter

An early version of the Cockatrice pattern made in the late 1800s. The bone china is decorated by hand with enamel paints depicting an exotic bird & floral decoration in greens, pinks, reds, blues & browns on a white background.

Early Mintons rectangular platter with rounded corners – 21 cm x 16 cm

impressed Mintons on the underside circa 1871.

Excellent condition, fabulous colours, no damage or repair, 150 years old.

Wonderful English Fine china from the Minton Factory, Stoke on Trent since 1793. Minton is regarded as the best of the English china factories and as such is very sought after by collectors.
