A rare Shelley tea set decorated with the green Georgian pattern. Made during the 1930s in the Gainsborough shape, each piece of this fine bone china has been beautifully hand painted with floral sprays and green bands, the rims and handles gilded with 24ct gold.  

All pieces are marked with the green Shelley England factory stamp to base – Georgian – pattern #13360.

Description

The collector societies for Shelley china are worldwide, from it’s 1827 inception to the close of the pottery in 1966 it’s china has been a firm favourite in homes. Based in Staffordshire, the pottery crafted thin translucent, yet strong china items in thousands of different patterns, noted by number and sometimes by name.
