The Crown Staffordshire Porcelain company was established at the Fenton works in 1889 as manufacturers of high grade porcelain. This gorgeous tea set has a small teapot, jug and sugar basin, 2 large size tea cups with saucers and a small plate. Each piece has been decorated with a red Cardinal bird perched on a branch found in the northern pines of America. This unusual set is also gilded on rims and handles.
Marked – Crown Staffordshire Bone China England – circa 1930/50
Lovely condition – very little if any use. Only issue is a tiny hairline on inside rim of lid which cannot be seen once in place.
