A classic art deco bone china tea set with conical cup and saucer and angular cup handle typical of the era. It was made in 1934 at the Royal Doulton factory in Lambeth, London. The floral design, typical of the era, has been painted in shades of  blue and yellow on bright white china and then gilded.

Base mark for the Royal Doulton factory – Pattern H4260 – Shape Fairy.

Description

Royal Doulton (since 1815) created some of the highest quality tableware in the world. Originally in London, the company moved to Stoke on Trent in the latter half of the 19th Century to make Fine china where it gained a Royal Warrant in 1902.
