Shelley Tea Set


Rare 1930s tea set from the Shelley China company, lovely art deco shape Eve, with a footed conical shape and angular handles. Hand decorated with pastel green bands, brown / green leaves and berries motif.

Teapot – 6 Cup – with repair to lid and rim.

Milk Jug – 8.5 cm high x 14 cm lip to handle – small stain under lip.

Bowl – 7 cm high x 14 cm diameter

Otherwise excellent condition – little signs of use.

The collector societies for Shelley china are worldwide, from it’s 1827 inception to the close of the pottery in 1966 it’s china has been a firm favourite in homes. Based in Staffordshire, the pottery crafted thin translucent, yet strong china items in thousands of different patterns, noted by number and sometimes by name.
