Shelley Posie Spray Trio


A vintage Shelley “Posie” matching tea set consisting of a tea cup, a saucer and a square side plate. Made in the Oxford shape and decorated with a lovely green, orange and blue floral pattern. The pieces are marked on the base with Shelley maker’s mark. The set dates from 1934 and was made in Staffordshire, England. 

The cup is approximately 7cm tall and 11cm wide including the handle.

The saucer is approximately 14cm wide and the side plate is 16cm x 16cm.

Excellent condition – little signs of use, tiny amount of glaze crazing on plate.

The collector societies for Shelley china are worldwide, from it’s 1827 inception to the close of the pottery in 1966 it’s china has been a firm favourite in homes. Based in Staffordshire, the pottery crafted thin translucent, yet strong china items in thousands of different patterns, noted by number and sometimes by name.
