A fabulous art deco bone china tea set made by AB Jones & Sons (Ltd), a company based at the Grafton Works in Longton, one of the key Staffordshire Potteries towns. The company used ‘Grafton’ and ‘Royal Grafton’ as trade names.
The beautiful Wistaria pattern (# 5597) is available here on a pale lemon ground and decorated with vines of yellow and orange flowers. The trio has a footed conical teacup with scalloped rim and angular gold handle, the saucer too is a conical shape, the plate square and all lavishly gilded.
Tea cup – 7.5 cm tall x 9 cm diameter
Saucer – 13.5 cm diameter
Plate – 17.5 cm diameter
