Early English Gilded Porcelain Teacup And Saucer Coalport

Superb example of a Mid 19th Century Cabinet Teacup and Saucer, almost certainly by the Coalport factory, Staffordshire, England circa 1845. Both cup and saucer are beautifully gilded with a foliate design, the cup with a raised pattern in the porcelain and straight foot base typical of Coalport early cups, as is the split twist handle.

Both pieces have a base mark fraction in orange enamel 5/2811.

Cup - 8 cm x 8 cm diameter

Saucer - 14 cm diameter

Lavender Rose Duo

Beautiful trio by Royal Albert, an unusual shape, with wide scalloped rims on the plate and saucer, and body of cup. Pattern is Lavender Rose which features pink roses. Gold trimming on footed cup, saucer, and plate edges. Dates to the 1960s.

Ming Rose Tea Set

Foley is a small district alongside on the border of Fenton and Longton, and the production of pottery at Foley can be traced as far back as the eighteenth century. During the 1880s the Foley Works were taken over by Elijah Brain (E. Brain & Co). In 1958 they purchased the Coalport China name. With new investment in design and production the Coalport business was saved and in 1963 E. Brain & Co stopped production of their Foley brand to concentrate solely on Coalport. It was in 1967 that the Foley China Works and the Coalport brand were purchased by Wedgwood.

A prestigious porcelain tea set from Vienna.

Augarten Scattered Vine Leaves tableware features a hand-painted leaf motif. Vine leaves are dispersed around the surface, which is detailed with a 24 karat gold rim. Painted on the Schubert shape, an Augarten classic, which dates back to the 19th Century Biedermeier era.

Handcrafted in Vienna, Austria, from the highest quality pure white porcelain.

Stamped blue beehive on base Augarten Wien Austria. Pattern number 6490.

French Garden Tea Cup and Saucer

In 1767, the Boch brothers opened a ceramics factory in Luxembourg. One of the first designs to be painted on their porcelain was the “brindille” pattern. The outstanding quality of the tableware manufactured by the Bochs soon was described as being “in the Luxembourg style”. This tradition inspired the name Old Luxembourg – ” a set rich in tradition recalls our resplendent beginnings.”

Minton Cockatrice Bowl

Wonderful English Fine china from the Minton Factory, Stoke on Trent since 1793. Minton is regarded as the best of the English china factories and as such is very sought after by collectors.

This range of tea wares, Cockatrice pattern # 4863, were first made in the late 1800s. The bone china is decorated by hand with enamel paints depicting an exotic bird & floral decoration in greens, pinks, reds, blues & browns on a white background.

Large Bowl - 7.5 cm high x 13 cm diameter

Minton hallmark on the underside, dates to 1912.

Excellent condition, fabulous enamels, age is over 100 years (tiny nick in the rim is the only damage)

Richard Ginori Roselline Tray

Reminiscent of the original rosebud design commissioned by the House of Savoy in 1830, 'Roselline' depicts classically hand painted roses in full bloom with touches of green foliage. A delightful pink pattern presented on the famous Ginori Vecchio shape. A truly iconic shape, Vecchio has an intricate raised woven basket style pattern on signature white Ginori porcelain.

A fabulous combination of old style roses on an old style pattern, Vecchio translates to "old one", the range expresses Richard Ginori’s sophistication and true craftsmanship.
