					<description><![CDATA[<p><strong>‘WETLEY CHINA’ is the trade name of Sampson Smith, manufacturer of fine china at Longton in Staffordshire. c.1846-1963. They produced beautiful hand decorated tea sets typical of the era, this set dates to 1925. The peony shape teacup, with batwing handle, is fully decorated with a solid green band, wild game birds and gilded bows and swags. Pattern #  9283. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Each piece has a different design representing the beautiful golden pheasant.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Teacup 9.5 cm diameter x 5 cm high</strong></p>
<p><strong>Saucer 14 cm diameter</strong></p>
<p><strong>Plate 18 cm diameter</strong></p>
<p><strong>Lovely condition with a little wear to the gilding, cup has some glaze craze which stops it pinging nicely, priced accordingly.</strong></p>
