Oxford shape cake/sandwich plate marked with the green Shelley England factory stamp to base and red lettering C for the shape. Beautifully hand painted with orange Physalis ( cape gooseberry ), painter signature B and pattern number 12299, with the handles and rims painted a burnt orange colour.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Large Square Plate - 25 cm handle to handle</strong></p>
<p><strong>Excellent condition, no staining or crazing, looks unused.                                                                       </strong></p>

Based in Staffordshire, the pottery crafted thin translucent, yet strong china items in thousands of different patterns, noted by number and sometimes by name.</strong></p>
