					<description><![CDATA[<p><strong>A vintage Shelley "Posie" matching tea set consisting of a tea cup, a saucer and a square side plate. Made in the Oxford shape and decorated with a lovely green, orange and blue floral pattern. The pieces are marked on the base with Shelley maker's mark. The set dates from 1934 and was made in Staffordshire, England. </strong></p>
<p><strong>The cup is approximately 7cm tall and 11cm wide including the handle.</strong></p>
<p><strong>The saucer is approximately 14cm wide and the side plate is 16cm x 16cm.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Excellent condition - little signs of use, tiny amount of glaze crazing on plate.</strong></p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>The collector societies for Shelley china are worldwide, from it&#8217;s 1827 inception to the close of the pottery in 1966 it&#8217;s china has been a firm favourite in homes. Based in Staffordshire, the pottery crafted thin translucent, yet strong china items in thousands of different patterns, noted by number and sometimes by name.</strong></p>

					<description><![CDATA[<p><strong>The Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Company is one of the oldest remaining English porcelain manufacturers. Known for its high-quality bone china, it has produced tableware and ornamental items since 1750. </strong><strong><span class="color_16">Crown Derby’s patterns became immensely popular during the late Victorian period, as their romantic and lavish designs met the popular taste of the period.</span></strong></p>
<p><b>This mid century tea set is beautifully hand painted with posies of flowers on pure white china with a blue band and gilded rims.</b></p>
<p><strong>Each piece is marked with the Pattern # 9875 and factory mark dating the set to the year 1921-60</strong></p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>The Royal Crown Derby Porcelain company was known as Derby Porcelain until 1775, when King George III granted the factory the honour of being able to incorporate a crown into its backstamp &#8211; becoming Crown Derby. In 1890, Queen Victoria awarded Crown Derby the royal warrant and the company was renamed Royal Crown Derby.</strong></p>
