This large 2 pint teapot has been hand painted in the popular Victorian Violets design with gilding enhancing a sturdy handle, a lid knob, the spout and rims.

Marked with the Hammersley - Acorn over Crown factory mark on base.

Size: 16 cm high x 28 cm spout to handle.

Excellent condition - Bright colours - Looks unused.

]]> Hammersley and Co. has a history of producing high quality, finely decorated bone china. The company began in 1862 as a china manufacturer at Longton, Stoke-on-Trent and went through several name changes before the works finally closed in 1982.  The Hammersley name was sold to Aynsley in 1989.
