Standard China (1916-1930)- Chapmans was a company that owned a number of different brand names over the years. Standard China was one such name used by the Albert works at Longton, Staffordshire England, where Royal Albert china was originally made.  The family owned Royal Albert china and were at the heart of the pottery industry in the early twentieth century. 

This rare art deco tea set is beautifully decorated by hand with flowering trees using jewelled enamels of blue, red, yellow and green on a pure white bone china. The scalloped rims are all gilded.
