Royal Doulton Norfolk Pinch Pots

£10.00

Norfolk blue and white china by Royal Doulton has been produced over a long period of time and is seen in the traditional hexagonal shape and rounded more modern pieces. This early 1900s set of 12 sided plates, and 8 sided cups and saucers are decorated with blue transfer printed designs depicting the rural scenes found in Victorian Norfolk such as old farmhouses, poplar trees and windmills.

All pieces have the base mark for the Royal Doulton factory – In 1901 the company introduced the lion, crown and ‘intersecting D motif’. Doulton became ‘Royal Doulton’ with the Royal Warrant given by King Edward VII in 1901.
