Rare 1930s tea set from the Shelley China company, made for Lawley’s of Regent street the fine china retailer in London. Lovely art deco shape, Eve, with a footed conical cup with an angular handle, round conical saucer and plate. Decorated with pastel green bands and a brown and green leaves and berries motif.
Trio consists of
1 Teacup – Height: 7.5cm x 9 cm diameter
1 Saucer – 14cm diameter
1 Square Tea plate – 16 cm

The collector societies for Shelley china are worldwide, from it’s 1827 inception to the close of the pottery in 1966 it’s china has been a firm favourite in homes. Based in Staffordshire, the pottery crafted thin translucent, yet strong china items in thousands of different patterns, noted by number and sometimes by name.
