Shelley Cape Gooseberry Teapot


An incredibly rare 1930s Art Deco Shelley tea set consisting of a teapot, hot water pot and round teapot stand. All pieces are marked with the green Shelley England factory stamp to base and red lettering W for the shape Regent. Beautifully hand painted with orange Physalis ( cape gooseberry ), pattern number 12299, with the handles and rims painted a burnt orange colour.

Trio consists of 

1 Lidded Teapot – Height: 13 cms x 24 cms spout to handle

1 Lidded Hot Water Pot – Height: 15 cms x 17 cms spout to handle

1 Round Teapot stand – 15 cms diameter

Teapot has a small flake in the spout and lid handle has a small scratch, otherwise excellent condition, no staining or crazing, looks unused.
