Fabulous art deco coffee cup and saucer made during the 1920s at the Fenton works, Staffordshire, England. Beautifully hand decorated bone china with a striking design in bright yellows, reds and green stripes on a white ground. Gilding to the handle and rim of cup and rim of saucer. Shaped in the art deco angular style with triangular cup handle.

Good condition, little rubbing to the gilding. Age of set – 100 years old.

Samuel Radford (1879–1957) Manufacturer of bone china at High St, Fenton. The Pottery was known for elaborately shaped and extravagantly decorated bone china tea ware and tableware using traditional patterns, and the company was an important exporter to North America, the Dominions, and European countries.
