English fine bone china has been produced at the Potteries in Staffordshire for over 200 years. William Alsager Adderley (& Co) operated the Daisy Bank Pottery in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent from 1876 – 1905, producing fine china. The styles are typical for the period, the peony shaped cups, the scallop edged saucers and plates, with either floral or landscape decoration.

This early set of tableware are similar to the Hammersley Dresden Sprays, hand painted florals on creamy bone china wares, heavily gilded on the rims and handle. Pattern # 6933. All pieces have impressed factory marks and some printed with W.A.Adderley.
