Rare Hammersley & Co. bone china Tea Set. Made in England during the 1930s/40s, this set has been decorated by hand with bright enamel paints, each spray of flowers unique to that piece. Wide borders of mint green and clotted cream are gilded for added luxury.

Description

Hammersley and Co. has a history of producing high quality, finely decorated bone china. The company began in 1862 as a china manufacturer at Longton, Stoke-on-Trent and went through several name changes before the works finally closed in 1982.  The Hammersley name was sold to Aynsley in 1989.
