Rare Hammersley & Co. bone china Tea Set. Made in England during the 1930s/40s, this set is decorated with hand-painted sprays of flowers within a wide ‘ Clotted Cream ‘ coloured border.

Description

Hammersley and Co. has a history of producing high quality, finely decorated bone china. The company began in 1862 as a china manufacturer at Longton, Stoke-on-Trent and went through several name changes before the works finally closed in 1982.  The Hammersley name was sold to Aynsley in 1989.
