Rare art deco tea set from the Staffordshire pottery Paragon China. Bright white bone china conical cup with angular handle, round saucer and square plate all decorated with bright blue and primrose yellow flowers.

Base mark Royal Paragon 1933-39. In 1933 a Warrant of Royal Appointment was granted by Her Majesty The Queen (Mary).

1 tea cup  – 7 cm high x 9.5 cm diameter.

1 Saucer – 13.5 cm diameter

1 tea plate – 17 cm

Excellent condition, good strong colours.

Description

The Paragon China Company was a British manufacturer of bone china from 1919 to 1960, based in Stoke-on-Trent. It held two Royal Warrants – By appointment to the Queen and By appointment to the Queen Mother.
