Royal Doulton Norfolk traditional early octagonal shape Teapot and Stand, blue and white china in fabulous condition.

Norfolk blue and white china by Royal Doulton is decorated with blue transfer printed designs depicting the rural scenes found in Victorian Norfolk such as old farmhouses, poplar trees and windmills.

All pieces have the base mark for the Royal Doulton factory – In 1901 the company introduced the lion, crown and ‘intersecting D motif’. Doulton became ‘Royal Doulton’ with the Royal Warrant given by King Edward VII in 1901.

Rd # 251612 & 597783 England crown lion marks date range 1900 – 1930’s.

2 cup Teapot – 10.5 cm high x 21 cm spout to handle.

Teapot Stand – 19.5 cm across.

Lovely vintage condition, bright colours, no chips or cracks. 100 years +.

Description

Royal Doulton (since 1815) created some of the highest quality tableware in the world. Originally in London, the company moved to Stoke on Trent in the latter half of the 19th Century to make Fine china where it gained a Royal Warrant in 1902.
