Early Samuel Radford tea set made at the Fenton works Staffordshire, England circa 1880. This fabulous set has been beautifully hand decorated in the Japan pattern on fine white bone china with gilded scalloped rims – pattern # 397.

Saucer – 15 cm diameter

Plate – 17.5 cm diameter

Bread and butter plate – 24.5 cm handle to handle

Beautiful condition, little use if any, may have a tiny bit of gilding rub – 130 years old.

Samuel Radford (1879–1957) Manufacturer of bone china at High St, Fenton. The Pottery was known for elaborately shaped and extravagantly decorated bone china tea ware and tableware using traditional patterns, and the company was an important exporter to North America, the Dominions, and European countries.
