An incredibly rare art deco set of six square plates with a rectangular plate all held in a metal stand.
This original early bone china has been hand made at the Shelley China factory in England, circa 1915-35. Each plate is enamelled in black and yellow on a white ground, a rare design of “Tall Trees and Sunrise”.
Marked with the green Shelley England factory stamp to base. Pattern # 11678.

Excellent condition, no staining or crazing, little sign of use if any.

The collector societies for Shelley china are worldwide, from it’s 1827 inception to the close of the pottery in 1966 it’s china has been a firm favourite in homes. Based in Staffordshire, the pottery crafted thin translucent, yet strong china items in thousands of different patterns, noted by number and sometimes by name.
